Camp Site Fees:
As of 1st Jan 2024, the camps fees are set as follows:
$3.00 per person, per day for scouting members
$5.00 per person, per day for all Non-Scouting members
Minimum fees may apply upon negotiation
Deposit’s may apply upon negotiation
Please be honest with your booking numbers. Wardens may conduct visits during your stay.
Blythe Park Booking Information / hirer contract.
All Community & School Groups wishing to use Blythe Park must have an appropriate level of Public Liability Insurance.
Keys
These will be available the day before your booking.
You will be informed by the Booking Officer where to collect the keys along with further information for your stay at the Blythe Park Scout camp.
You will be expected to return the keys and Camp Fee to the Booking Officer immediately after you have finished at Blythe Park in order to obtain your deposit and/or bond refund. Bank Deposit is prefer.
Breakages, Damages & Extra Cleaning
Any replacements, repairs or cleaning will be charged to the group deemed responsible.
Groups that lose locks or fail to return keys will be charged a $500 lost key fee to cover the cost of re-keying the Park and/or replacement of locks.
Hut Capacity
2 bunk rooms each containing 10 bunks. 4 bunks for adults only in main hall area.
Sheets on all bunks all with 1 pillow with case.
Towels for use in toilets and tea towels found in cupboard under microwave.
Basket provided under bench for dirty linen, please leave there.
AT NO TIME ARE MATTRESSES TO BE TAKEN OUTSIDE.
Campfires
Campfires may be lit in the only in the camp fire circle and at NO time is it to exceed 1 metre square. Please do not waste wood and do not take it from the stack that is for use in the lodge. You are to adhere to any fire restriction periods that may be in force at the time of your visit. If in doubt talk to booking officer and check at www.fire.tas.gov.au
There are other camp fire squares within the campsites and same rules apply. Only self-gathered fallen timber from inside the park. At no time are trees to be felled or damaged.
Cut firewood found in the wood sheds is for Lodge wood heater use only.
At no time are fire pots are to be placed on the ground especially around the lodge. There are two fire pots at the camp site. Ask booking officer for more information.
Any groups found using cut firewood for campfires will be billed accordingly
First Aid
Please bring your own First Aid Kit. There is a basic kit on top of the microwave.
We request you only use it in emergencies.
Cleaning
Brooms & Mops are supplied. Dish cloths, detergent, disinfectant, supplied.
All items in the kitchen to be left clean.
All floors to be left clean and a vacuum can be found under bunk in room off the kitchen.
It is expected that the facility is left as clean as it was found.
BBQs are to left clean and lids closed please.
If it is necessary for us to clean up after your use, a cleaning fee will be charged and subtracted from your deposit/bond.
Rubbish
Bins are supplied for use during your stay. BYO bin bags. You are responsible to remove all rubbish at the end of your stay. Rubbish left will be charged accordingly and deducted from your deposit.
No Firearms, no Off-road Motorbikes or 4 Wheel driving is permitted within the park.
All animals and plant life within the boundaries of the Park are protected.
All dogs entering the park are to remain on leads at all times and all mess collected and placed in the bin.
Please make sure everyone attending are aware of these rules to avoid extra costs / non-refunded deposit.
